Should I worry about GST Special Drive for Fake Registration?
I am reading in news about GST Special Drive for Fake Registration almost daily. I need to know whether I need to worry about this. I am a genuine taxpayer and what should I do if I get a notice from GST department.
Genuine GST taxpayers need not panic about GST Special Drive for Fake Registration. It is a special drive by CBIC to curb Fake Registrations and in turn Fake ITC.
CBIC has filtered a taxpayers based on certain parameters and tax officials are focusing only on those taxpayers. In case any such taxpayer is confirmed as Fake Registration, recipients of those taxpayers are also verified.
So, in a nutshell, if you and all your suppliers are genuine, you need not worry about GST Special Drive for Fake Registration.
