Hi!

I have stayed at Hotel AVN plaza, Ranchi where they have charged me Rs. 35/- plus 18% GST on Bisleri Packaged water 1L printed MRP is Rs.15/- only.

Is it legal to charge like it?

Sir, yes it is completely legal to do that. They are not providing you goods (i.e. Bisleri Bottle having MRP Rs. 15/-), they are providing you Service (i.e. Restaurant Services) which is charged at 18% for specified premises (mostly restaurants inside Big Hotels etc.). Hence, they can charge as much as they want for that.
