GSTN is delighted to announce that NIC will launch the E-Way Bill 2 Portal (https://ewaybill2.gst.gov.in) on June 1st, 2024. This platform guarantees high availability and operates concurrently with the primary e-way Bill portal (https://ewaybillgst.gov.in). The E-Way Bill 2 portal synchronizes e-way bill details with the main portal within seconds. Key highlights of the portal include:

  • At present, the E-Way Bill 2 Portal offers essential E-Way Bill services and will gradually expand to include other functionalities of the e-way bill system.
  • Users can independently generate and update E-Way Bills on the E-Way Bill 2 Portal.
  • The portal supports both web and API modes of operation for e-way bill services.
  • Taxpayers and logistic operators can access the E-Way Bill 2 portal using their main portal login credentials. -This portal serves as a backup during technical issues on the main e-way bill portal or other emergencies.
  • Cross-platform operations for printing and updating Part-B of E-Way Bills are supported. This means that Part-B updates made on one portal can reflect on the other and vice versa.
  • If the main E-Way Bill portal is unavailable due to technical reasons, Part-B updates for E-Way Bills generated on Portal 1 can be made on Portal 2, allowing users to carry both E-Way Bill slips.
